Frequently asked questions:

I have existing Telkom lines that I would like to convert to your cheaper business telephone lines, will I be able to keep my Telkom numbers?

Mobile number Portability has been available for mobile networks for a few years already and now Geographic Number Portability is also available from Fixed Line networks such as Telkom.
Number porting is the transfer of your existing telephone number, or numbers from your current service provider over to our network.
We understand how important it is for you to keep the same telephone numbers which your customers know, and now you are able to keep your same Telkom telephone numbers.
Another advantage is that once your Telkom numbers have been ported over to our network, you will then be able to keep them for life – no matter where in the country you relocate your business to in the future.

Will I loose any incoming calls during the number porting process?

We manage the number porting process in full to ensure that you have no down time.
You will find the entire process quick, easy and non-disruptive.

What does it cost to port my Telkom numbers?

A once-off fee of R195.00 will be levied per individual phone number ported.
A monthly network porting maintenance fee of R29.00 per individual number ported.
If you are only advertising one Telkom number, then we only need to port this number.
We will provide you with the number of lines you need, using your main ported number.

What happens if I don’t have an existing Telkom number to port?

We will allocate you with a telephone number which you can use for advertising and for all your incoming telephone calls.

What happens if our telephone lines are out of order?

We understand how important it is for a business to always be able to receive their incoming calls at all times.
All your incoming calls are automatically forwarded to your mobile phone if your lines go out of order.
This great feature ensures that you will never again miss out on any of your incoming calls when your phone lines are out of order.

What are the requirements to use South African Telecoms business telephone lines?

A high speed ADSL line, but preferably an existing LTE, Fibre or Wireless internet connection.
We also assist with internet connectivity, and can help arrange the most cost effective LTE, Fibre or Wireless solution for you.
